The way you do your guest room speaks a lot about your taste. Here are a few affordable tips to make the room look grand yet cozy.

Choose a light color for your walls. This will make the room look bigger and brighter. You could go for some texturing on one of the walls. Make sure you have matching curtains. These need not be too expensive and fancy. Select a cotton one, but with colors to match the other stuff in the room.

A queen bed is sufficient for your guest room. This can be a wooden one or even a wrought iron bed based on your choice. Always make sure that you keep clean bed spreads, pillow covers and blankets. Choose a small cabinet that can hold few clothes and other important things. Store extra towels and sheets in the cabinet.

Also, if you have enough space, place a small writing desk that can also be used as a computer table. Do not forget to place a few books and a table lamp to complete the look.
